Fairmount Tavern is a wonderful bar and very accommodating for special events. The upstairs space is spacious and perfect for a private party. We were able to comfortably fit 30-40 people there. The service is also phenomenal. Very kind staff. TIP WELL!

Such a great neighborhood bar. Everyone is kind and welcoming, the atmosphere is top notch. Vast selection of beer and liquor to suit every taste. Trivia on Tuesdays, Karaoke on Fridays and all the Birds games. This bar does it all, including private events on the second floor!!

Love this place! The bartenders are super friendly and attentive, and they have great cocktails and a large beer selection. It really is a local gem. They have events all the time like karaoke, dirty joke night, and trivia. Haven’t been for any of the events yet but plan to come back soon!! 5 stars all the way!!

This is hands down my favorite spot in the Fairmount neighborhood! The vibes are perfect—relaxed, welcoming, and never uptight. The bartenders Emily, Jen, Brian, and Alec are all fantastic and make you feel right at home. The owners are also genuinely nice and clearly care about creating a great experience. One of my favorite things about this place is how dog-friendly it is! They always greet my (slightly needy) pup with open arms, which makes us both feel so welcome. There are thoughtful touches everywhere—purse and coat hooks with outlets underneath the bar are a game-changer! The outdoor seating is great, and I love that they always have local sports on their four flatscreens. They even do free green tea shots for Eagles touchdowns and field goals—such a fun bonus during the games. They host awesome weekly events like karaoke and trivia, plus seasonal events like a Halloween dog costume contest, which is just as cute as it sounds. The regulars here are a charming mix of relatable characters, adding even more to the neighborhood feel. Plus, the bar and bathrooms are always clean and recently renovated, which is a nice touch. If you're looking for a laid-back, dog-friendly, and welcoming bar with great people, this is it. Highly recommend!

Local watering hole with community vibes. Music runs a little loud but we still got plenty of opportunity to talk with the bar tender and people sitting next to us. Drinks were awesome and reasonably priced. It's a great place to get to know the locals

This place bangs yo. Drinks are awesome, ambiance is playful while still being clean (not like the typical dive bar) and the staff are awesome!! I love chatting with Annora, cracking jokes with Jared, Umair, and Brennan, and seeing Ray from time to time. Great place with swanky people, whenever I’m in Philly I always gotta stop here and get my peanut butter espresso martini or maple old fashioned😊

I never thought as a non-drinker I would be a regular at a bar, but that’s how great the Fairmount Tavern is. Specifically, the owner, Ray, makes you feel like you’re his best friend and you can talk for hours- except, every patron is his best friend. The Fairmount tavern is a beautiful, modern bar with amazing prices, but what really keeps me coming back is the people. The ‘regulars’ are quick to pull you into a game of “skipbo” or “uno flip.” Every aspect of the tavern seems so carefully curated, but it’s all organic because of the amazing people behind it. Umair, Jared, Brendan, Kelly, and Anora, and any other bartender there are such authentic people with so many stories and their ability to multitask while keeping the sense of community with light chatter is astonishing. The bar is always clean, even with all the furry friends that frequent (by the way- an amazing accessibility feature for city dog parents who want a social life). The gold fish bar snack is a humorous, unique edition to a bar setting. The menu of hot dogs, grilled cheese, and pickles seems a bit small but even these 3 items are made to be unique. The mustard selection is odd and vast. The Fairmount tavern is a singular experience on Fairmount Avenue and in Philadelphia. Without a doubt, this bar is so amazing because of the people behind it and the policies they have and the kind of people they are. This bar is a perfect collation of the people inside it and managing it.

I have lived 2 entire years 2 blocks from this place, now that i am moving i figured it was time to try it out! My friends and i read raving reviews about the hot dogs at this establishment and therefore we set our tummies ablaze with desire for a post-evening delight. Imagine our astonishment with the visceral response we received upon ordering many (several perhaps) pork pistols. A dear friend of mine (served our country) made a quip in jest at the expense of the quantity of frankfurters for which we had ordered (regarding the immediate operation of a motor vehicle) (for which he was to pilot posthaste!). The, by whom i could only presume is the warden of the bar (bartender), responded with a terse expression, combined with a shoulder most cold… I yearned to speak on behalf of the transgressions that were unduly distributed to my colleague. However, a flavor most exquisite danced among my taste buds. Perhaps, it was the waltz or the ensemble of a chorus of cherubic singers (of the former or the latter, perhaps i will never discern!!) Perhaps my mouth an open chasm, all-consuming, was drawn to the simplicity of the minimalistic expression of the meal at hand. One choice, one option, make your selection wisely… we did and we rejoice at our decision. It is not often that the fruits of your labor are reaped so soon after they are sown. And for that we thank the hospitality of this tavern, this city, and this nation most just. Elizabeth Warren 2028. Thank you and good night.
